About this video
Maryland nurse Nicole Landers testified that CV-19 patients were pressured to accept remdesivir and ventilation while alternative treatments were dismissed and basic patient care was neglected.
At Senator Ron Johnson’s September 28, 2026 roundtable, Landers described two CV-19 patients admitted to the same Maryland ICU in December 2021.
One patient followed the hospital’s recommended course and died. The other rejected the hospital protocol and secretly received alternative treatments brought in by his family. According to Landers, he began recovering within 24 hours and returned home before New Year’s.
Landers, a registered nurse with more than 30 years of clinical experience, resigned from her nursing position in 2021 because of what she described as unethical patient care.
She called for an investigation into how hospital protocols were established, why patients were denied meaningful treatment choices, and how their medical autonomy could be protected.
September 28, 2026 — U.S. Senator Ron Johnson led a roundtable discussion titled “CV-19 Hospital Protocols: Real Stories from Real People.”
