Mastrangelo is an Italian hematologist, oncologist, clinical pharmacology specialist and court-appointed expert in VX injury cases since 2012.
In an interview with Dr. Peter McCullough on Focal Points, Mastrangelo, author of Brain on Fire: How VXs Cause Autism, outlines five proposed biological mechanisms involving aluminum adjuvants, chronic neuroinflammation, the gut-brain axis, autoimmune reactions, molecular mimicry and interference with early brain development.
He argues that aluminum can be transported by immune cells, accumulate in brain tissue and trigger inflammation that disrupts normal neurological development.
Mastrangelo also calls for independent scientific research and greater investigation of individual VX injury cases.
These mechanisms remain hypotheses rather than established evidence that VXs cause autism. Large population studies have not demonstrated a causal link between routine childhood VXs and autism.
